Baglietto Monokini Award
-
The Baglietto Monokini 44mt, was born with the idea of satisfying the demand of exclusivity, simplicity and elegance requested by the owner. Alberto Mancini, owner of the studio AM Yacht Design, has accepted the challenge of interpreting these three requests.
-
Interior Ambience
Inside, the Monokini exudes a sophisticated and serene elegance. A refined palette of light ivory, achieved through bleached sycamore maple and pale leather, contrasts with ash wengé parquet flooring. The custom-designed sofas, upholstered in Rubelli taupe linen, feature adjustable backrests that enhance comfort and open the space toward the expansive terraces through large sliding glass doors.
-
Lighting
Lighting plays a crucial role in defining the atmosphere. Custom steel, silk shantung, and nubuck lamps, together with indirect and natural light from dramatic skylights, create a dynamic and calming interplay of brightness and shadow. Throughout, thin “light cuts” and illuminated perimeters form a modern boiserie, blending architecture and illumination.
-
Cabins and Details
The cabins continue this philosophy of discreet luxury. Indirect, automated lighting can be adjusted via a home automation system controlled by mini iPads, offering multiple ambience settings. Each cabin features unique leather finishes by Foglizzo, paired with sycamore wood for a bespoke touch.
In the bathrooms, Botticino marble washbasins—carved from single blocks—complement treated teak and satin-finished steel details, creating a spa-like atmosphere with understated opulence.
