ORIGINS
Born by the sea
Alberto Mancini was born in Trieste in 1978 and grew up on the Mediterranean, spending much of his childhood aboard his family’s ketch. That early, daily closeness to the sea shaped the intuition that still guides his work.
He went on to study Transportation Design at the IED in Turin, where he learned the principles that define his lines today: proportion, emotion and functional beauty.
FORMATIVE YEARS
Learning from the masters

Alongside Mauro Micheli, the designer behind Riva’s modern heritage, he contributed to models such as the Aquariva 33 and the Rivarama 44, and learned the value of restraint and Italian craftsmanship.

With Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard, he worked on a series of sport open yachts for Cantieri di Sarnico. Much of it happened on site, inside the shipyard: design learned by building.

He took part in large-scale superyacht projects, including work on the Maltese Falcon, the [88-metre] sailing yacht built by Perini Navi.

Founder, designer and managing partner of Team For Design, he created a complete new range of flybridge yachts from 20 to 39 metres for Dominator. The Dominator 780S received the Best Design Award in Cannes in 2009.
